plumbBOX General Terms & Conditions

plumbBOX (“We”/ “Us”/”Company”) is a trading name of Cofield Limited (09211246), registered at Unit 5, 20 Airfield Way, Christchurch, BH23 3PE. plumbBOX trade from www.plumbbox.co.uk and can be contacted on [email protected]. The individual or organisation who is purchasing a product and/or service will be referred to as ‘the Customer’ (whether or not the Customer is acting for a third party). All orders placed with plumbBOX are subject to the following terms and conditions of sale.


plumbBOX will always demonstrate skill and care to undertake the obligations in their contract with the Customer. We shall not be liable for any damages or losses (loss of data, income, profit, loss, damage, property damage, injury or death) with relation to the use of the Company’s website or purchase of Company’s goods.

You should read the following terms carefully before placing your order with plumbBOX. It is important you read the terms thoroughly as once an order has been placed, both plumbBOX and the Customer will be legally bound by these terms.

plumbBOX make every effort to ensure that the information on this website, and any correspondence from us, is accurate however we cannot guarantee this. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by any mistakes made, these will always be corrected as soon as possible without there being any liability on our part.

This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute between those involved will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

The contract between Customer and plumbBOX

All quotations and offers are made, and all orders are accepted, subject to the following conditions – except as otherwise stated in these conditions. All other terms, conditions or warranties, are excluded from any contract, between the Company and any Customer, unless accepted in writing by a board director of the Company. Provided that nothing in this contract restricts or excludes liability for death or personal injury, caused by the negligence of the Company or affect the statutory rights of a Customer dealing as consumer.

1.0 Your Order

By placing an order with plumbBOX, you agree to the below terms and conditions. All orders accepted by plumbBOX are subject to these conditions of sale outlined below.  

1.1 Amendments

Acceptance for the Customer to amend their order (order quantity, product specifications etc) is solely at the Company’s discretion and administration fees may apply. Amendment requests should be made in writing by email to [email protected]. Please note amendments to orders may result in extended delivery times and additional delivery, packing and processing fees.

1.2 Cancellation

An order cancellation will only be accomodated and agreed if the customer confirms to cover all costs incurred by the Company including losses, packing and processing fees caused by the cancellation. If you have already placed your order but you wish to cancel, please email [email protected] as soon as possible.

1.3 Delaying Your Delivery

Within reason and with appropriate notice, Customers may request to delay the delivery of their goods but plumbBOX are under no obligation to approve such requests. Storage charges or additional handling fees may apply should a delivery postponement be approved. If you have already placed your order but wish to delay its delivery, please email [email protected] as soon as possible. plumbBOX can only delay orders that have not yet been collected by our delivery courier that day.

1.4 Availability

Any orders accepted are subject to stock levels and availability. If We are unable to supply the Goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. The Customer can decide whether to put their order on hold if the stock is due back in or can cancel their order in which case, the Company will reimburse any payment in full within 3 working days.

2.0 Delivery  

2.1 Delivery Charges

plumbBOX offer free, next working day delivery on all mainland UK orders, excluding Ireland over the value of £40 ex VAT.

plumbBOX also offer the option to upgrade your delivery in the checkout to next working day pre-10am for £2.00 on orders over the value of £40 ex VAT.

Orders under £40 ex VAT will incur a delivery fee of £4.95 inc VAT (next working day delivery on UK mainland orders).

2.2 Click & Collect

plumbBOX are proud to also offer a same day ‘Click & Collect’ service from their warehouse premises in Bournemouth:

Dependant upon stock levels, orders can be collected on the same working day from plumbBOX, within 15 minutes of placing your order online. Last orders for same day Click and Collect will be accepted on or before 4.45pm, final collection time at 5pm.

Please note, Click & Collect is only available Monday to Friday – 7am to 5pm excluding UK bank holidays and weekends. On rare occasions, Click & Collect may be unavailable. If this is the case, you will be notified as soon as possible after placing your order and an alternative delivery method will be arranged for you.

To collect your order, you will be required to provide your order confirmation with order number as well as form of ID.

2.3 Delivery Service

Please note that plumbBOX use third party courier services to deliver their goods and whilst every effort is taken to ensure our Customers receive accurate delivery times and any unforeseen issues are resolved, we are not be liable for any delays or issues during the transit period. plumbBOX’s primary courier is Parcelforce however other third party couriers may also be used to deliver customer orders.

Should your order arrive incomplete or incorrect, whilst plumbBOX will strive to rectify the error in reasonable time, plumbBOX will not be liable compensation for any losses of time or work. If your order arrives incorrect or damaged, please follow the appropriate procedures below in section 2.6.

2.4 Transit Times

Delivery transit times are provided to us by our courier partner, Parcelforce. Please be advised that these delivery estimates are only approximate and exclude weekends and UK bank holidays. Therefore, if an order is placed on the Saturday, it will not be delivered until the Tuesday.

All deliveries placed before the 3pm cut off will be dispatched the same day for next working day delivery. Please note that cut off for next day delivery on all cylinder products is 1pm.  E.g. an order received Monday at 10am will be dispatched Monday for a Tuesday delivery. Deliveries placed after these cut off times will be dispatched the next working day and sent on a next day service. E.g. an order received 6pm Wednesday will be dispatched Thursday, for delivery Friday.

Customer ordering to UK mainland (excluding Highlands, Islands and Ireland) can expect the following transit times as defined by Parcelforce, correct at the time of publication of these terms.

Transit times in some postcodes throughout the UK may vary. Please refer to Parcelforce’s exclusion table for these. Please note plumbBOX only use express24 and express10 delivery services.

Timely delivery of your goods is also dependant upon the Customer promptly providing accurate essential information and supporting delivery instructions (delivery address, access notes etc) when placing their order.

The Company may, dependant on stock levels, have the right to deliver goods in multiple instalments and in that event, each consignment is to be considered a separate delivery contract with seperate transit times. In this instance, plumbBOX will endevour to make you aware using the contact details provided at time of ordering.

2.5 Delivery Coverage

At present, plumbBOX offer UK mainland deliveries only. If you require deliver to the Scottish Highlands, Islands or Ireland, please contact [email protected] before placing your order and plumbBOX will be happy to quote for delivery for you if they are able to do so. Please note additional charges and longer lead times may apply.

2.6 Receiving your Delivery

Upon delivery, the unloading of goods is the responsibility of the Customer. The delivery driver will be as accommodating as possible within their remit. However, positioning the goods in their final location and unpacking/unloading is the responsibility of the Customer.

All packaging included as part of Customer deliveries are for the intention of protecting the goods whilst in transit. Should the Customer have additional packaging requirements other than that provided as standard, these may be accommodated but will incur additional material and packing charges and in some instances delivery fees.

Failure to take delivery of your order (please note that delivery may be made in instalments) or to make payment entitles the Company to cancel your order.

2.6.1 Damage Upon Inspection

A signature is required from the Customer to confirm safe receipt of goods and by signing for the goods, you confirm, to the best of your knowledge, that your delivery has arrived in good condition. Any damage or issues immediately visible to the delivery must be added to the delivery note at time of acceptance (or alternatively, the customer can refuse delivery altogether) . The damage must then be reported in writing by email to [email protected] containing images and description of the damage within 24 hours. If this is not provided, goods shall be deemed as received safely and to be in good condition and the Customer may therefore not be eligible for a refund or exchange.  The Company shall not be liable for loss or damage suffered  to the Goods, after any defects are noticed by the customer, or after circumstances, which should have indicated a defect to the Customer. Please note that the courier may be require the Customer to complete a damage questionnaire.

The company will aim to investigate within 24 hours and resolve any claims and issue refunds/exchanges where appropriate within 5 working days dependant on stock levels. Depending on the circumstances, collection of the damaged goods will be arranged at expense of the Company.

2.6.2 Damage Upon Unboxing

Your goods should be unboxed as soon as possible upon receipt and if defects, faults or damages are found, these must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Please report the issue in writing by email to [email protected] containing images and description of the damage.   If this is not provided, goods shall be deemed as received safely and to be in good condition and the Customer may therefore not be eligible for a refund or exchange. The Company shall not be liable for loss or damage suffered to the Goods, after any defects are noticed by the customer, or after circumstances, which should have indicated a defect to the Customer. The Customer is not entitled to any claim, regarding repairs or alterations. Please note that the courier may be require the Customer to complete a damage questionnaire.

The company will aim to investigate within 24 hours and resolve any claims and issue refunds/exchanges where appropriate within 5 working days dependant on stock levels. Depending on the circumstances, collection of the damaged goods will be arranged at expense of the Company.

2.7 Delivery Complaints

If you, the Customer have any complaints regarding the transit / delivery of your order, please email [email protected] with the nature of your concerns. Please note that in most instances you will be directed to liaise with Parcelforce directly. If you wish to submit complaint against plumbBOX, please follow the procedure listed below in section 14.0.

3.0 Returns

You may return your goods back to us within 30 days of delivery and subject to the goods arriving in the same re-sellable condition that they were sent to you. Returns for goods are at the cost of the customer, not the company and delivery costs will apply. Please keep any outer and inner packaging materials to ensure a safe and efficient return of goods. Goods that are returned, without written consent of return by the Company or after 30 days of the Customer’s receipt of good, may not be able to be accepted. Should the Company accept the returned goods, handling charges or administration fees may apply. Should you wish to return your items, please email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery.

4.0 Refunds

Providing the goods have been returned within the above conditions, a refund for the cost of goods will be processed within 7 days of receipt. Alternatively, if an exchange of replacement goods is required as a result of damaged items, these will be sent out within 5 working days of receipt of the damaged items – dependant on stock levels.

5.0 Pricing

The price for the Goods will be as specified on plumbBOX website  – www.plumbBOX.co.uk.  We reserve the right to change the price of any Goods at any time for any reason. If the price is incorrect or has changed, we will contact you by e-mail, telephone, post or other appropriate method, to inform you of this, before sending the Goods. You may then cancel or confirm your offer to purchase, at a revised price, if offered. The price for the Goods is exclusive of Value Added Tax, which will be charged at the current UK rate.

Delivery costs will be paid by the company on orders over the value of over £40 excluding VAT. Orders of £40 and under excluding VAT, will incur a delivery charge of £4.95 plus VAT.

Quoted prices are subject to fluctuation at any time for any reason, including changes in commodity prices, currency exchange rate fluctuations, supplier price increases and changes in market conditions. Where a price differs from that quoted, the Company will contact the Customer by e-mail, telephone, post or other appropriate method to inform the Customer of the revised price, before dispatching the Goods. The Customer may then cancel or confirm the offer to purchase. The Company reserves the right to make an additional charge to cover any increase in transport costs.

6.0 Payment

You can either pay by credit or debit card, (we accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express).

Unless otherwise agreed by the Company and subject to sufficient notice to the Customer, satisfactory trade references have been received, payment shall be due before the product is dispatched.

No disputes arising under the contract, nor delays beyond the control of the Company, should interfere with full payment by the Customer.

7.0 Product samples

The Company may provide sample goods for the Customer’s review – these are given at the Company’s entire discretion and charges may apply.

Any samples submitted to the Customer are intended solely to indicate substance and general character of the materials. The Customer shall have no claim if the colour or composition of the bulk supplied, fails to correspond with the sample, unless the particular requirement is specified by the Customer and accepted by the Company in writing.

8.0 Product information and specification

The Company has the right to delivery Goods that deviate from specified measurements, weights, quantities and specifications advertised on the website within reasonable limits/tolerance to conform to standards or laws or otherwise.

The specifications contained within the advertising, sales and technical material are provided only for general guidance.

9.0 Company liability

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the sales process.

The Company shall not be liable in respect of claims arising by reason of death or personal injury except if the death or injury is attributable to a failure by the Company to exercise reasonable care. Under no circumstances whatever shall the Company be liable for any loss or damage in connection with: loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

10.0 Intellectual Property Rights

This website’s intellectual property rights, design, text, graphics and all marketing material (Content) belong to the Company. All such rights are reserved. You must not use any part of the content on our site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors. Single digital or print copies of individual pages are permitted to be stored however multiple copies are not. Reproduction, modification, distribution or republication of our Content is prohibited.

All drawings, documents, confidential records and other information supplied by the Company, are supplied on the understanding that copyright is reserved to the Company (or a third party) and the Customer will not without the written consent, give away, loan, exhibit, sell or copy such information, or use them in any way except in connection with the Goods. Any copyright created will remain in the Company, where the Goods are commissioned by the Customer, whether or not for a separate fee.

All claims for alleged infringement in respect of patents, trademarks, registered design, design right or copyright received by the Customer must be notified immediately to the Company. The Company must be kept fully informed of such claims. If requested by the Company, the Company shall be entitled to have conduct of any proceedings, relating to any such claim in such manner as the Company deems fit. The Customer will provide reasonable assistance to the Company, if requested. The cost of any such proceedings will be borne by the Company.

If any allegation is made against the Customer to the effect that the supply of the Goods, infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, or the Company has reason to believe that any such allegation is likely to be made, the Company may at its option and expense modify or replace the Goods to avoid such infringement (but without adversely affecting the overall performance of the Goods), or obtain for the benefit of the Customer, the right to continue to use the Goods, or repurchase the Goods at the contract price, as reduced by a reasonable provision for depreciation. If the Company pursues any of such options, the Customer will have no rights or remedies against the Company, arising directly or indirectly out of the alleged infringement.

11.0 Insolvency

The Company is entitled to cancel the contract in whole or in part, by notice in writing to the Customer, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to the Company, if the Customer becomes bankrupt, or under the provisions of Section 123 of the Insolvency Act 1986, is thought to be unable to pay any debts or compounds with creditors. This also applies in the event of a resolution being passed or proceedings commenced for the administration or liquidation of the Customer (other than for a voluntary solvent winding up for the purposes of reconstruction or amalgamation) or if a Receiver or Manager is appointed of all or any part of its assets or undertaking.

12.0 Force Majeure

The Company has no liability for any failure to perform its obligations, under the contract, if the failure is caused by act of God, governmental restriction, condition or control, a trade mark dispute, shortages of labour or materials, breakdown of machinery or any other matter outside the control of the Company.

13.0 Privacy Policy

14.0 Complaints

Occasionally, circumstances arise where problems can occur, giving rise to complaints. If the Customer wishes to make a complaint against the Company concerning performance and failure of obligations under the terms of this Contract, you must email the Company at [email protected] setting out details of the complaint and we aim to respond within 1 working day and have your complaint resolved within 48 hours depending on the nature of your complaint. Where we cannot resolve any complaints using our own complaints procedure, we use Dispute Resolution Ombudsman Ltd for dispute resolution.
